CCNP Router IOS Features

This page lists router IOS feature sets, versions, and a list of router IOS features included in CCNP. The tables show an X when a particular feature is supported in a particular version and feature set. The information is these tables are based on the Cisco Feature Navigator tool (www.cisco.com/go/fn). Also, this page does not attempt to list cases where a feature may be supported at a particular version/feature set on one model router, but not on another.

This information is provided as a free services to the Cisco certification community. Please help by letting us know about any incorrect information listed in this or related pages. If you find information that is not accurate, please let us know at labdata@certskills.com. Please note that we may not be able to reply to each email individually, but will we strive to keep the data accurate.

Why Some Features, but not All?

The purpose of the tables is to see important differences between one feature set and another, specifically when used to practice for CCNP. As a result, the tables do not list every CCNP feature, but rather lists those most likely to be supported in one version/feature set but not another. The following tables list topics on the CCNP exams as implemented on routers. The tables then show an X if the feature is believed to be supported in the particular version and feature set.

  1. The IOS feature set “IP/FW 3DES” for 800 series does not appear to support EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, or IPv6, but I would love for someone out there who has one to confirm that there’s no EIGRP or OSPF support.

Contributions and Fixes

The information about the lab gear may have errors. Also, there are questions I’ve not yet had time or opportunity to answer, so I list those beneath each of the tables on this page. Help me by letting us know about the errors, or answering any of the items in the lists! Just email labdata@certskills.com with your comments. Thanks!
